Work with a Virtual Assistant
Change your life, work with a VA
The Virtuoso Virtual Assistant:
Why working with a Virtual Assistant will change your life.

VIRTUOSO;
1. having or revealing a supreme mastery or skill in a field. Alternative nouns: old hand; professional; ace. Adjectives: knowledgeable; expert; experienced.

VIRTUAL ASSISTANT (VA);
1. someone who provides professional administrative support and can specialise in an area of technical and or creative assistance, working remotely to that of the client. NOT a phone app or tech device, but a real person, with a real personality.

For a lot of business people especially entrepreneurs and self-starters the thought of out sourcing personal work can be a worry, especially if that chosen individual is not sat in the same vicinity to you – where there appears to be a greater deal of control. However, working ‘virtually‘(i.e. in an offsite location) can actually heighten business awareness, increase regularity and quality of communication and even provide a tighter knit work culture. Covering more than 2,700 executives and more than 2,700 employees at companies in 27 countries, a study from Oxford Economics and SAP, revealed ‘The New Face of Work’, stating that by 2020 the workforce will be increasingly flexible and diverse, accelerating in the use of contingent, intermittent or consultant employees, seeing the next 3 years forcing change on companies. Businesses must understand the workforce of the future and its importance to achieve bottom-line success.

Virtual Assistants are a big part of the change in the ‘traditional’ workforce, and the movement of a generation who now want to achieve success, by freelancing in their area of expertise. I know this because I am one of them.

It can be a struggle passing over an element of management in your business; it is essentially your baby. Asking somebody to take care of something which you put YOUR heart and soul into, and trust they will take on the same values as you and contribute towards the success of it just as if it was their own, is scary. Control freak might sound a bit strong, but it’s understandable when the matter in question is your livelihood and dream. But it could be this element of control which is preventing you furthering your goals and limiting your time, spending it on the repetitive, arduous tasks which can easily be outsourced, or perhaps (dare you say it) someone else might be better at?

So why hand over some of that responsibility and work with a Virtual Assistant?

1. A VA saves you bags of time. Life’s just too short. You should focus every second on the value maximising work that you excel at.
2. A VA provides the best added value experience.
3. A VA is cost effective which means saving cash.

1. Saving bags of time
Imagine if I could give you back every minute, hour, day or even year that you have spent on laborious, repetitive tasks, essential to your business and you could spend all that time on your endeavour right now to be making profitable business gains. Spend a very short period of time writing task directions for your VA to execute, in comparison to tedious hours of actually carrying out the work yourself. You can literally buy extra quality time. It’s not just the administrative tasks which a VA can efficiently handle, find a VA that matches your business needs too, whether it be marketing, social media, travel itineraries, collaborate with your VA so you really get the best back from your time. The great news is that every second your VA works for you, they get to know your business, until they can eventually become pro-active and can offer to take tasks off your plate before you’d even realised they were about to become important!

2. Delivering added value
As an independent, freelance VA, working on either an hourly or project based fee, VA’s derive their income purely by being productive and delivering value to clients. Their success, development and ultimately revenue is totally dependent on looking after you and doing a great job on the tasks you handed them for your business. If you succeed then so do they, and vice versa, their success and efficiency will drive you further. VA support frees up time for you to focus and pursue the greater objectives really driving your Company to success. Absolutely no time is spent “staring out the window”, or long coffee breaks for a chat at your expense.

Of course this is expected of full time ‘in house’ staff too, who (arguably) receive a full time salary regardless of their performance or hours of input that day/ week, but availability is not the same as productivity or competency.

3. Cost effective
For start-ups or small to medium enterprises, it is a cost effective undertaking to only employ support as and when the work is created. VA clients avoid the logistical problem and overhead cost of providing office space, equipment and supplies. Full time staff can be an incredibly expensive matter, a VA does not require a benefits package, or any fluff like that, they pay their own VAT, tax and benefits. They are their own HR department too, so you do not have to worry about payroll, pensions or National Insurance.

Working with a VA will become a prerequisite to your business, an indispensable, resourceful asset to how you run your working day, adding value, saving you precious money and perhaps even more precious, time.
